CHI Health at Home accepts most types of insurances. We will work with your insurance company to determine your eligibility for home health services prior to the start of care.
CHI Health at Home accepts most private insurances as well as Medicare. Some common guidelines related to insurance coverage for home health services include:
- Medicare (and Medicare-like insurances) requires that you must be homebound. This means you must experience a taxing effort to leave the home. Absences from the home should be short and infrequent and can include church, medical and hair appointments or special occasions.
- Medicaid and Veteran’s Administration also cover many home health services. Eligibility requirements regarding homebound status and skilled need may vary depending on the requirements of your payor source.
- Private insurances will also pay for home health while you are receiving skilled nursing and/or therapy services.
Contact will be made on your behalf to your insurance company in the event that you require prior or on-going authorizations for continuation of care.
If your insurance plan does not cover home health services or if you do not have current insurance coverage, there is a private-pay option available. Please contact us for more details.
